F-500 Encapsulator Agent
Materials like flammable metals, lithium-ion batteries, and synthetic fabrics have become commonplace in the home, at work, and in industrial facilities, challenging traditional fire suppression and detection systems. F-500 Encapsulator Agent, a premier fire suppression agent, offers unparalleled features that give your team the ability to safely mitigate these difficult-to-extinguish fire hazards.
F-500 Encapsulator Agent is not a foam. While a traditional foam system works on a mechanical level, Encapsulator Agents work on a chemical molecular level, changing the composition of plain water. There are different types of systems for suppressing different types of fires, but the F-500 EA ensures a comprehensive approach to target the affected area efficiently and correctly.
FIRE CHEMISTRY
Our F-500 Encapsulator Agent suppression system works on all four legs of the fire tetrahedron simultaneously.
FUEL
Unlike fire protection systems that rely on traditional fire suppression methods, Encapsulator Agents excel at encapsulation, separating the fuel from oxygen on a molecular level.
HEAT
A heat source is required for ignition to occur. Through the process of rapid heat reduction, thermal energy is absorbed up to 10x faster than plain water, preventing the spread of fire.
OXYGEN
F-500 encapsulation separates the oxygen from the fuel source. Oxygen is needed to support the combustion reaction, so when it’s removed, that reaction is interrupted.
CHEMICAL REACTION
During the process of extinguishment, F-500 EA absorbs free radical energy, halting the chemical chain reaction that sustains flames. This process is called free radical interruption.
